Playing for memories – Mayo pickleball fundraiser

Castlebar Pickleball Club will host a fundraising event in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland’s Castlebar Day Centre at De La Salle Sportshall, Castlebar, on Bank Holiday Monday, October 26.

A public pickleball demonstration and taster session will run from 10 to 11 a.m.

Entry is €5, and everyone aged 16 and over is welcome to come along and try one of Ireland’s fastest-growing sports. Indoor runners are essential.

A friendly competitive tournament featuring Castlebar players and visiting clubs will follow from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Spectators are welcome throughout the day. Refreshments, raffle prizes and opportunities to donate will also be available.
