Mayo Badminton League seeks new teams and players

Mayo Badminton Association is calling on badminton players across the county to consider taking part in the 2026/27 Mayo Badminton League, with entries now open for the coming season.

Following the successful return of the league last season, the association is keen to see more clubs and players getting involved, particularly those who have never competed in the league before.

The invitation is also open to groups who meet regularly to play badminton for fun but have never entered an organised competition.

The league is not just about winning matches. It is a social competition that gives players the chance to meet others, enjoy playing against different opponents and experience badminton beyond their usual weekly games.

With competitions catering for beginners through to more experienced players, the association hopes to encourage those who may not have considered league badminton before to give it a try.

Individual players are also welcome to register their interest, even if they are not currently members of a badminton club.

Entries close on Sunday, November 1. For more information or to register your interest, visit the Mayo Badminton Association website at www.mayobadminton.ie.
