Top Mayo band to set the tone at GAA All-Star celebrations

While the Mayo senior team will rightly be in the spotlight at the annual PwC Football All-Star Awards in the RDS in Dublin on October 30, after receiving 11 nominations, Castlebar band Concord - one of Ireland's premier live wedding and event bands - will also be taking centre stage at the event.

Marking their sixth consecutive year performing at the event, Concord is heading to the capital amidst another packed year of national performances.

The versatile five-piece lineup features new lead vocalist Steffi O'Brien alongside David Cunningham (keyboards, piano, vocals and management), Padraic Mellett (bass guitar and vocals), Kenneth Moran (drums), and Brian Kennedy (lead and acoustic guitars and vocals).

Known for their tight live sound and ability to keep dance floors packed all night, Concord’s expansive setlist spans everything from ‘60s and ‘70s classic rock to modern pop hits, country, jives, waltzes, and floor-filling Irish party anthems.

With several awards expected for Mayo and the squad in attendance, Concord will provide the soundtrack for a big night of celebration for the county.

Mayo's Ryan O'Donoghue and Jack Carney are nominated for the Footballer of the Year Award with Kobe McDonald and Darragh Beirne contesting the Young Footballer of the Year accolade.

The event will be broadcast live by RTÉ.
