Mayo restaurant's 10th anniversary wine night fundraiser for Daisy Lodge

TO celebrate 10 years in business next month, the proprietors of the award-winning Dining Room restaurant in Castlebar will host a special Italian themed wine night, with the total ticket sales going directly to the Daisy Lodge Cancer Fund for Children.
Manchester native Kevin Stirzaker and his wife Shirley run the Dining Room Restaurant in the heart of Castlebar.
Kevin left Manchester at the age of 17 to visit close friends in Ireland. It was in Mayo that he met Shirley, the girl who would later become his wife.
Shirley said: “We opened the doors for the first time on November 10, 2016. Little did we know what the next 10 years had in store for us.
“What started as a dream has grown into so much more than a restaurant. It has been a journey of had work, long days, incredible food, wonderful people and countless memories made around our tables.
“Along the way we have had the pleasure of working with some fantastic staff, and welcomed so many lovely customers.”
She continued: “Now, as we approach our 10th birthday, we find ourselves incredibly grateful for all the loyal customers who have supported us.
“We believe strongly in giving back to the community that has supported us so generously and we want our 10th birthday to be more about us than just celebrating ourselves.
“On November 10, we will serve up an Italian themed wine night with 100 per cent of the proceeds going directly to the Daisy Lodge building fund.”
Reservations can be made on (094) 9021861 or email diningroombook@gmail.com. The opening hours are Wednesday to Saturday, 6 to 9 p.m.
