Sauna and wellness space proposal near Mayo lakeside

A SAUNA facility and wellness space is being proposed at Lough Lannagh in Castlebar.

If approved, it will be based at the local tennis club grounds.

An application for planning permission has been submitted to Mayo County Council for two modular saunas and a wellness space at Lough Lannagh, Knockacroghery.

The development is proposed by Daithi Gallagher of Bunanioo Ltd., creating a sauna facility and outdoor wellness space on the grounds of Castlebar Tennis Club, which is in close proximity to the leisure complex and Lough Lannagh facilities.

The proposed development will utilise the existing space and provide a service for outdoor users in the area. It will have an outdoor Zen Garden and wellness space and also a social outdoor hub for users.
