West Mayo Foróige funding boost

Foróige’s Pine Lodge residential facility in Louisburgh has secured funding under the Youth Capital Funding Scheme 2026, Minister for Education and Youth Hildegarde Naughton TD has confirmed.

The funding will support the facility operated by the youth organisation, according to local Minister Alan Dillon TD.

Pine Lodge will receive €47,706 to carry out health and safety improvements, enhance accessibility, undertake refurbishment works and upgrade outdoor facilities.

Welcoming the investment, Minister Dillon said;

"I am delighted to see this funding awarded to Foróige’s Pine Lodge in Louisburgh.

This facility provides valuable opportunities for young people from Mayo and beyond to learn new skills, build confidence and take part in positive youth activities."

He added: "The investment will help ensure Pine Lodge remains a safe, welcoming and accessible space for young people and will support its important work in our community for years to come."
