Clew Bay Garden Trail raises €12.5k for Mayo charities
The Clew Bay Garden Trail has marked the end of another successful season by presenting a cheque for €12,539.52 to its chosen charities.
A press released stated: "A huge thank you to everyone who supported the garden trail throughout the season and especially those who opened their gardens and welcomed visitors.
"We extend our sincere thanks to Tommy Marren of MidWest Radio for officially launching the event and for the wonderful publicity on his radio programme.
"This played a major part in attracting visitors to the gardens and helping make the season such a success.
"Plans are already underway for 2027 and we are looking forward to welcoming even more gardeners and visitors to the trail.
"We are encouraging our gardening community to get behind the Childrens Sunflower Hospice in 2027 and support the building of this much needed facility.
"Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2026 trail such a special and worthwhile event, we look forward to seeing you all again in 2027.
"The CBGT is always delighted to welcome new gardens to the trail. If you would like to open your garden to visitors or perhaps you know of a garden that you feel would be worthy of joining the trail we would love to hear from you.
"Please get in touch with us. Email clewbaygardentrail@gmail.com
"And remember – we are not looking for show gardens! We are simply looking for gardens with character, charm and something to share.
"Your garden, large or small, formal or informal, floral or vegetable, could be just what we are looking for.
"So if you’ve ever thought “My garden is not good enough” think again, we would love to hear from you."
