Portwest and Mayo GAA renew partnership through to 2030

PORTWEST and Mayo GAA have announced the renewal of their partnership through to 2030.

First established in 2021, the partnership reflects Portwest’s deep roots in Mayo and its commitment to supporting the local community.

Over the past five years, Portwest has been proud to support Mayo GAA, and both organisations look forward to building on this successful relationship.

The renewal comes at a particularly special time, following Mayo’s historic All-Ireland Senior Football Championship victory, ending a 75-year wait to bring the Sam Maguire Cup home.

For Portwest, it has been a privilege to have supported Mayo GAA throughout this remarkable journey and to share in a moment of immense pride for the entire county.

Commenting on the renewed partnership, Cathal Hughes, chairman of Portwest, said: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with Mayo GAA through to 2030. As a company with deep roots in Mayo, this is a partnership we are incredibly proud of.

“To have supported Mayo on their journey and witnessed the Sam Maguire return home after 75 years was a truly special moment for everyone in the county. We look forward to continuing our support and being part of an exciting future for Mayo GAA.”

Ruairí Conroy, Mayo GAA CEO, commented: “We are delighted to renew our partnership with Portwest. Portwest has been a valued supporter of Mayo GAA since 2021, and this renewal is a strong vote of confidence in the direction we are taking as a county.

“What makes the relationship particularly meaningful is the shared connection to Mayo and to the communities that sustain our games. From our clubs and volunteers to our county teams, there is a huge amount of work happening every week across Mayo GAA, and strong long-term partners like Portwest help us continue to invest in that future.

“Winning Sam Maguire was an extraordinary moment for Mayo, but our responsibility now is to build on that success. We are very proud that Portwest will continue to be part of that journey with us for years to come.”

The renewed partnership will see Portwest continue its commitment to supporting GAA in Mayo, as both organisations look forward to the next chapter of their relationship.

From grassroots clubs and volunteers to county teams competing at the highest level, Mayo GAA plays a central role in communities throughout the county. Portwest is proud to continue supporting that work and to remain part of the Mayo GAA journey through to 2030.
