Work starts on new west Mayo Greenway trail

PHASE one of the Westport to Louisburgh Greenway (Bertra to Murrisk) has commenced.

In welcoming the development on his Facebook page, local Independent Councillor Christy Hyland said he promised this project on his campaign trail.

“It has taken a lot of lobbying but it is finally under construction,” he added.

The development is expected to be completed by next summer.
