Death of Mayo man in Canada is widely mourned

THE death has taken place in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, of Enda Morley, a native of Cloonfaughna, Bekan.

A member of a much-loved and respected family, news of his passing is widely mourned in the community.

The deceased, a GP by profession, was a son of former Mayo TD, the late P.J. Morley and Enda was actively involved in his father's general election campaigns over the years. 

He is survived by his mother Mary, brothers Patrick and Brian, sister Cathy, nephews Patrick, Jonathan, Conor and Dara, nieces Alison, Anna and Kate, aunts Bridget and Mary, sisters-in-law Margaret and Catharina, cousins and a large circle of family, neighbours and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.

Mayo Fianna Fáil Deputy Lisa Chambers said it was very sad to learn of Enda's passing and her thoughts are with the Morley family at this time.

“Deepest sympathy is extended to his mother Mary, brothers Patrick and Brian, sister Cathy, and extended family on their immense loss.”

His remains will be reposing at the Marian Funeral Home, Knock, on Sunday from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock.

Removal to St. John The Baptist Church, Knock, takes place on Monday for Mass at 1 o’clock with burial immediately afterwards in Knock Cemetery.
