Home Instead publishes free senior citizen guidebook

HOME Instead Senior Care, Ireland’s largest provider of non-medical home care services, has released the 2019 edition of its 'bible for older people', The Senior Citizen & Family Carer Guidebook.

The popular annual publication aims to ensure Ireland’s older people, and those who care for them, have access to the key information they need to learn about ageing in Ireland.

The Senior Citizen & Family Carer Guidebook is available free of charge. It’s a comprehensive resource on ageing in Ireland, and the inspiration for this year’s edition is ‘planning for successful ageing’,” says Oonagh Cox, local spokesperson for Home Instead.

This guidebook helps us to truly honour our mission, which is to enhance the lives of older people and their families,” she adds.

Home Instead’s Senior Citizen Guidebook shares experience and expertise built up from the company’s 14 years of operation in Ireland and contains valuable contributions from a range of experts and organisations who have Ireland’s older people at heart.

The guidebook contains information on allowances and entitlements, care options, community services, home and lifestyle, nutrition, health and wellbeing and much more,” says Oonagh.

Home Instead will make the guidebook available in a range of places in the local community, such as libraries, post offices, hospitals and clinics. Members of the public can order a copy by phoning 1890 989 755, and a digital copy is available at https://www.homeinstead.ie/Guidebook2019.
