Comedian Brendan Grace has died

IRELAND'S best loved family comedian, Brendan Grace, has died, aged 68.

For almost five decades he was at the very top of his profession, thrilling audiences around the country.

The genial Dub was totally at home in rural Ireland, and here in Mayo many, many people took him to their hearts.

His family confirmed his passing after a short battle with illness.
