Ballycroys nicola singing live on the voice of ireland

Mayo girl Nicola Lynch is bidding to become the Voice of Ireland. She will be singing this Sunday night in the second of the live shows in the popular TV series.

Nicola, who is singing for Team Una, will take to the stage to try and secure her place in the final against Niall O'Halloran from Limerick and Chloe Wilders from Tyrone.

The 19-year-old hails from Ballycroy and is studying childcare as a fall back if music doesn't work out for her. She also works in a local bar/grocery.

She lives at home with her parents and family and there will be a few votes in the Lynch house for Nicola on Sunday night as she has 14 siblings.

Nicola’s musical talents extend beyond singing and she is self-taught on the guitar. Her vocal style is rap, pop, and upbeat music.

In the blind auditions Nicola sang ‘Umbrella’ by Rihanna, and wowed the judges, with both Una Foden and Rachel Stevens turning their chairs.
