Councillor frank durcan joins renua ireland

MAYO Independent Councillor Frank Durcan has joined Renua Ireland.

It is widely expected he will stand as a candidate for the party, founded by former Fine Gael Deputy Lucinda Creighton, in the next general election.

However, the party is also looking at the prospect of running a candidate in the east of the constituency.

Said Castlebar-based  Councillor Durcan: 'This country needs something new as everything else we have had in this country has been a disaster.'
