Act of Achill vandalism is widely condemned

GARDAÃ are investigating an incident of vandalism at a former school in Achill.

The damage was caused to the old Scoil Domhnait building which is used as a band hall by Achill Pipe Band.

A statement issued by the band read: “For the second time this year it has been vandalised. There is no excuse for this kind of thing. If you have any information please contact the gardai.â€

The incident has been widely condemned in the community.
