Mayo councillor makes a bold 'Sam' promise

A MAYO Fianna Fáil elected representative has made a bold promise.

Councillor Breendan Mulroy has stated in the event of Mayo bringing the Sam Maguire Cup home on Sunday week, he will climb Croagh Patrick backwards in appreciation of the result. 

The Westport-based representative added: “I will nominate a charity closer to the date. Everyone is more than welcome to join me on a date to be announced.”
