Meath ref in charge of mayo v donegal clash

MEATH referee David Gough will be the man in the middle for Mayo's All-Ireland senior football championship quarterfinal against Donegal in Croke Park on Saturday next.

The Slane man will be the third official from the county to be in charge of Mayo's third major game in-a-row.

Last year in the All-Ireland semi-final against Kerry in Croke Park which ended in a draw the Meath man in charge was David Coldrick. Six days later it was Cormac Reilly from the Royal county also who was the man with the whistle when Mayo lost after extra-time.

Now the Mayo supporters will be hoping it will be third time lucky next Saturday with referees when Meath's Gough takes charge.
