The punishment was imposed on Mick Byrne, Ballyheane FC, for forging the signatures of 26 players and one parent on league registration forms. He was secretary of the club at the time of the offence.
Members of the Mayo League's disciplinary committee took the action after conducting an investigation into the matter.
The investigation was instigated by apparent similarities in players' registration signatures on the Ballyheane registration form.

ELVERYS SPORTS SUPER LEAGUE

For the second time in the space of as many weeks Ballina Town have emerged victorious over Manulla on a 2-1 scoreline.
This time there were league points at stake and hosts Ballina left it late to nab all three at Belleek Park, scoring two minutes from the end of normal time against a resolute visiting side.
Derek Tansey claimed the winner, scrambling in a shot off a couple of Manulla players as he was left unguarded at the far post to meet Philip Devers' deep free kick from the left wing.
