Mayo doesnt score too highly on most attractive list
Mayo is sitting midway on Ireland's 'most sexiest' league table, with only Castlebar making it into the top 50 (out of 75 towns and cities surveyed).
In a fun look at which Irish singles consider themselves the sexiest, a study of 47,300 singles has revealed that people from neighbouring Galway are among the top five most attractive groups in the country.
Here in Mayo, Castlebar comes in as the 35th most attractive, Ballina is 61st, followed immediately behind by Westport in 62nd place.
The study, which was commissioned by dating site EliteSingles (http://www.elitesingles.ie), looked at anonymous user data to see how Irish singles rate themselves on the ‘sexy’ scale. The results revealed that Dublin singles are the group most likely to label themselves as sexy, while Galway residents make it into the top five, edging out those from Swords who had to settle for sixth place.
For the record, the top 10 sexiest Irish areas are: 1. Dublin, 2. Greystones, 3. Limerick, 4. Cork, 5. Galway, 6. Swords, 7. Naas, 8. Wicklow, 9. Clonakilty, 10. Kilkenny.
