Death of outstanding balla community activist

THE death has taken place of Padraig Brennan, Ardboley, Balla.

A very popular man in the community, he was the Balla correspondent for The Connaught Telegraph.

The deceased was involved in many local organisations, including Balla Community Council, Balla St. Patrick's Day Parade committee, Balla Active Age Group, Balla GAA Club, the church and the bingo committee. 

His remains will be reposing at Balla Funeral Home this evening (Saturday) from 7 o’clock until 9 o’clock.

Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul takes place on Sunday at 1.30 p.m. in St. Cronan’s Church, Balla, with the funeral proceeding to the adjoining Cemetery.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the Brennan family on their loss. He is survived by his wife Mary, two sons and a daughter, other family members, relatives and friends.
