Death of much loved Castlebar woman

THE death has occurred of Kathleen O'Connor (nee Brennan), Spencer Street, Castlebar.

In her 95th year, news of her passing has evoked a huge sense of loss in the town.

A woman of immense sincerity and kindness, she was wife of the late Jim O'Connor, who ran a family grocery and light hardware shop at Spencer Street for many years.

Deepest sympathy is extended to her family Carmel, Geraldine (Mullany), Phil (McGolderick), John and Seamus.

She is also survived by her sister Nora, sons-in-law Joe, Pat and Anthony, daughters-in-law Joyce and Bernice, grandchildren Cormac, Kate, Paula, Janet, Eoghan, Muireann, Aisling, Jim, Aidan and Rory, great-grandchildren Isabella and Alfie, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Her remains will be reposing at Coady's Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5.30 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to the Church of The Holy Rosary, Castlebar.

Funeral Mass takes place on Tuesday at 11 a.m., followed by burial in the New Cemetery.
