Passing of member of popular Castlebar family

THE death has occurred of Marguerite Kiernan, Station Road, Castlebar, and Bromley, Kent.

A member of a popular and respected Castlebar family, news of her passing is widely mourned in the community. 

She is survived by her brothers Barney (Castlebar) and Brian (USA), sisters Marie and Carmel (Turlough), Peggy (UK) and Ita (USA), her loyal companion John (Kent), nieces Amanda, Michelle and Laura, nephews Bryan and Shane, sister-in-law Fiona Kiernan, aunt Maura McDermott, brother-in-law Bobby Feeney, partner Declan O'Brien, cousins Mary McDermott and Mary Maguire and many loyal friends.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.

Her remains will be reposing in the Chapel of the Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar, this evening (Friday) from 6 p.m., followed by prayers at 7 p.m.

Requiem Mass takes place on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Sacred Heart Hospital with burial afterwards the Old Cemetery, Castlebar.
