Launch of Mayo style awards 2017

THE launch of The Connaught Telegraph's third annual Mayo Style Awards took place in Breaffy House Resort with the gathering of the event sponsors.

The awards, organised in conjunction with anchor sponsors Specsavers, venue hosts Breaffy House and associate sponsors, is the only style awards of this scale being run in the west of Ireland.

They are designed to recognise the best in fashion-related business and lifestyle in Mayo and provide a golden opportunity to showcase businesses in the Mayo area as well as the best in the region.

The event takes place in Breaffy House Hotel on Friday night, August 25.

Category sponsors already on board are Breaffy House Resort, Staunton's Pharmacies, First Choice Credit Union, Don Racine, Albany Paints and Interiors, Unit 7 Clothing, Bonco Wellness, Geraldine's Skincare Clinic (Westport) and All In Design and Print.

Egan Jewellers, Castlebar, will sponsor the award for Best Dress Lady at the awards ceremony for the third consecutive year.

The categories are Best Boutique, Best Accessories, Best Beauty Salon/Spa, Best Hairdresser, Best in Interiors, Best New Business, Best in Bridal, Best in Men's Fashion and Grooming and Best in Health and Fitness.

All catagories are now open for nomination. Out of the 10 listed cetagories, businesses can be entered in any two and they can do so in a number of ways.

Mary McGuigan, group commercial manager, Celtic Media Group, and Bernard Hughes, sales manager, The Connaught Telegraph, spoke at the launch last Thursday and thanked the sponsors for their loyal support and looked forward to teh event being a resounding success.
