Free high-speed WiFi for town centre shoppers soon

THE firm responsible for the new broadband system in Castlebar is giving a welcome present to retailers in the town centre.

After meeting with members of the local Chamber of Commerce, Virgin Media agreed to provide one-hour free WiFi to the public every time they go shopping locally.

It's a brilliant idea and one that works very well in many major shopping centres throughout the country.

Construction company, Actavo, is currently installing cables at different locations around the town and the standard of the work is of a high standard.

Over 3,000 homes in and around Castlebar will enjoy the best of broadband quality once the new system is up and running in the near future.

It will also provide digital TV and telephony.
