New management team appointed at Mitchels

DECLAN Shaw and Benji Smith are set to take over as the new management team at Castlebar Mitchels.

The executive of the club is meeting tonight and the members are expected to ratify the appointment of a new management team .

Declan Shaw and Benji Smith are set to take over as joints managers, while Michael 'Duther' Durkan remains on as a selector. Others will be added to the management team at a later stage.

One name being linked with the management team is Alan Flynn, former Galway Under 21 manager.

Castlebar will be bidding for a fourth consecutive senior title this year.
