Mayo to play strong hand for Galway clash

MAYO have named a strong team to face Galway in the FBD Connaught League clash with Galway at MacHale Park at 7.30 p.m. this evening (Friday).

A number of the side who were on the team selected to play in the match which had to be cancelled last Sunday due to a frozen pitch have been named again, including David Clarke, Kevin Keane, Neil Douglas, Michael Hall, Sharoize Akram and Brian Reape.

The team will also feaure a number of players who made their debut on Wednesday night last when Mayo drew with Leitrim in their first game in the competition.

Mayo are also down to play Roscommon on Sunday in Hyde Park and face Sligo in their final Connaught League game on Sunday week. The venue for that fixure has not been named yet.
