Fiona McHale is free to play for Carnacon in provincial final

FIONA McHale is back in the Carnacon squad for tomorrow's provincial final, it has been confirmed.

She received a red card in her side's victory over Moy Davitts in the Mayo ladies senior club championship semi-final a number of weeks ago.

But it has been rescinded following a submission to the Connacht Ladies Gaelic Football appeals committee.

There had been speculation that the committee's decision was going to be challenged by the Mayo Ladies County Board, but that had not materialised by today's 5 p.m. deadline.

It means the Mayo All-Star is now free to line out for Carnacon in the Connaught ladies senior club championship final against Galway champions, Kilkerrin/Clonberne.

This clash will be played in Ballyhaunis GAA pitch at 3.30 p.m. tomorrow
