Regina can start cancer treatment thanks to incredible fundraising response

A MAYO woman can start her treatment for a rare form of brain cancer after €370,000 was raised for her in less that two weeks.

It is Westport teacher Regina Duffy's third time fighting cancer and she will be treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering Centre in New York with the cost paid in advance.

Her sister Adele told the website, Breaking News: "It feels inadequate to just say 'thank you' to those who donated and organised fundraising events because the response has been incredible."
