Gardaì in Mayo investigating theft of fishing boat

GARDAÌ in Mayo are investigating the theft of a fishing vessel from Westport Quay overnight.

The red 10-metre catamaran, Aingeal na Mara, went missing from the pier between the hours of 7 p.m. yesterday and 6.30 a.m. today.

As well as seeking the assistance of An Garda Siochana, the owners of the boat have issued an appeal across social media.

Anybody with information should contact Westport Garda Station.

UPDATE: The boat has been located.
