Kelly’s Butchers reach Irish Made Awards finals

THERE'S more good news for the innovative butchering family Kelly’s of Newport who have reached the finals of the Irish Made Awards.

Run by the Irish Farmers’ Journal magazine Irish Country Magazine in conjunction with Kilkenny shops, this is a prestigious national competition.

The winners will be chosen by an online public vote which closes on Friday, September 6, so everyone is asked to cast their vote now at https://irishcountrymagazine.ie/vote-irish-made-awards-2019/.

Kelly’s Butchers are in the food and drink category against some very stiff competition.

The nominations in nine different categories were whittled down by a judging panel to the final shortlist. Now just 81 of the finest makers, creators, producers and designers in the country remain.

The winners will be revealed at a special event at Fallon & Byrne in Dublin on Thursday, September 26, and Kelly’s are really hoping to be there.

This is a wonderful achievement for Kelly’s Butchers,” said a delighted Seán Kelly, “We’re really proud to have made the finals of the Irish Made Awards and now we’re asking all our customers and friends to vote for us.”

Category winners not only get valuable exposure in Irish Country Magazine but their products will also be stocked in a Kilkenny store and the winners given valuable support and mentoring.
