First home game for Mayo Meteors, Ballina Braves make it two from two

MAYO Meteors Basketball Club are at home this Saturday night against Carrick Cougars (Carrick-on-Shannon) in Round 2 of the Senior Men’s LLRR league.

Terry Kennedy’s side opened their season with a good win over Sligo and anyone interested in dropping into the De La Salle Hall beside St Gerald’s College won’t be disappointed as a good game of basketball can be anticipated.

Kennedy’s philosophy is to run the bench and give the younger guns plenty of court time as he sets his sights on entering the highly competitive Division 1 of the National Basketball League next season. Tip off at the De La Salle Hall is at 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, Ballina Braves made it two from two in the LLSS Senior Men’s League with a very impressive win over Carrick-On-Shannon
