Strong Mayo interest in 2026 GAA Rounders Championship finals

The pinnacle of the rounders season has arrived, with the country’s top clubs – including Breaffy of Mayo – preparing to battle it out for national glory in the 2026 GAA Rounders All-Ireland Championship Finals at NGDC Abbotstown, Offaly GAA Centre of Excellence, and Mallow GAA on August 30, September 6 and September 13 respectively.

This year’s finals represent a landmark moment for Ireland’s most inclusive GAA sport. Featuring action across senior, intermediate, and junior grades in men’s, women’s and mixed divisions, fans are guaranteed a showcase of elite athletic skill, tactical precision, and high-energy drama.

In a major milestone for the sport, all finals will be live-streamed, with full commentary, on TG4 Sport’s YouTube channel, ensuring supporters nationwide and abroad won't miss a single pitch.

GAA Rounders launched its nine All-Ireland Championship finals in Croke Park this week with Úachtarán CLG Jarlath Burns and Úachtarán CLG Cluiche Corr Paula Doherty in attendance, along with players from finalist teams.

After a successful season which commenced on April 19 and continued all summer, the 103 teams who entered the championship have been whittled down to the final 18 who will contest All-Ireland finals over the next three Sundays.

It's women's final day on Sunday next (August 30) at NGDC Abbotstown, Dublin 15. Breaffy will be hoping to win their fifth senior title in a row when they take on Limekiln of Dublin in the showpiece decider at 3.30 p.m. Before that, Limerick clubs St. Kieran’s and St. Senan’s battle it out in the junior final at 11 a.m., while it's an all-Connacht affair between Elphin (Roscommon) and Galway City Rapparees (Galway) in the intermediate decider at 1 p.m.

Action moves to the Offaly GAA Centre of Excellence in Kilcormac on Sunday, September 6, for the men's finals. The games are as follows: junior - Gusserane (Wexford) v Myshall (Carlow), 11 a.m.; intermediate - St. Clare’s (Cavan) v St. Senan’s (Limerick), 1 p.m.; senior - Carrickmacross Emmets (Monaghan) v Erne Eagles (Cavan), 3.30 p.m.

Breaffy will also be involved on Sunday, September 13, when the mixed finals are played in Mallow, Co. Cork. Going for three-in-a-row, they face Glynn Barntown of Wexford in the senior final at 3.30 p.m.

Galway City Raparees are in both the junior and intermediate finals, facing Kilmore of Roscommon in the former at 11 a.m. and Emo of Laois in the latter at 1 p.m.
