Troubadours take latest show to Claremorris Town Hall

THE Troubadours present their greatest hits show - Only Jokin’ - in Claremorris Town Hall this weekend, with all proceeds in aid of Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

This show, taking place tomorrow (Saturday, May 6), has been organised by Lorraine and Keith Fallon from Claremorris and Garrymore, who have previously organised various fundraising activities for Temple Street Children’s Hospital, including a 4x4 Jeep run in the Mayo region.

All proceeds from these activities will go to help sick children in Temple Street, making their stay in hospital less distressing for them and their families and funding the purchase of medical equipment, developing new services, funding research and developing new treatment facilities.

The Troubadours are an all-male vocal group based in Mayo. Originally formed in 2010 and led by noted musical director Kathy Fahey, from Belcarra, they have performed in Castlebar, Ballina, Belcarra and, more recently, put on their Only Jokin’ show in Westport Town Hall.

The Troubadours' repertoire ranges from traditional song to contemporary music, doo-wop to barber shop, the odd joke or surprise for the audience, all delivered with light-hearted banter in between. Music for the show is provided by John Flatley & The Sophisticats, and with Kathy Fahey providing musical direction, the lads promise to deliver an entertaining evening with something for all tastes.

Doors open at 7.30 p.m., with full bar facilities available at the venue. Tickets are available online at www.townhall.ie/tickets or from the box office on (094) 9310999.
