Bangor Erris GP post to be advertised this weekend

THE vacant GP position in Bangor Erris will be advertised nationally in newspapers next weekend.

The news has been confirmed by the HSE to Minister Michael Ring and local Councillor Gerry Coyle who have been in constant contact with the HSE in relation to the position for the last number of weeks.

They said in a joint statement: “The HSE had previously stated that they would be advertising the position immediately and we are delighted to see that this is happening and hopefully there will be applications for the vacant position.”

Both Minister Ring and Councillor are eager to see the GP position being filled in a permanent capacity for the people of Bangor Erris as soon as possible.
