Met Eireann issues Status Yellow rain warning for Mayo

MET Eireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for Mayo.

For the rest of today and all of Thursday, there will be persistent and occasionally heavy rain at times with a risk of localised flooding.

Amounts will be highest in coastal areas and on hills and mountains.

The warning will remain in effect until midnight tomorrow.

It also covers Donegal, Galway, Leitrim and Sligo.
