Council to take over 11 Mayo housing estates
FUNDING of €336,234 has been provisionally approved for Mayo County Council to take 11 housing developments in charge.
Minister of State Michael Ring said Housing Minister Simon Coveney has confirmed the funding, meaning that 340 units will be taken in charge by the council.
The housing developments to come under the remit of Mayo County Council thanks to this initiative include the following:
Black Oak Rise, Newport
Church Manor/Manor Gardens
Oaklawn, Killala Road, Ballina
Rath Cluain, Kiltimagh
Rathkip, Shanagh, Ballina
Suifinn Way, Ballycastle
Towers Reach, Killala
Wesley Court, Ballina
Said Minister Ring: “This is really great news for housing estates and developments right across the county that have been left unfinished or in need of further work by developers. Now that these developments will be under the remit of Mayo County Council this work can finally be done, and families can expect to live in high quality developments that are properly serviced.”
